The VALDOR symposia are arranged to support the development of transparent risk management. Through the four symposia that have been held since the start in 1999, a forum for the discussion about risk assessment and risk management has been created which is much appreciated among the participants. In 2009 we celebrate the VALDOR ten year anniversary.

How we operate
The NIA is open to all industrial companies involved in the development, production or exploitation of nanotechnologies and is supported by the UK DTI. Meetings are held regularly to discuss topics of interest to members and generate statements and position papers. A Board has been formed from members of the NIA that provides a co-ordinating and governance role. A secretariat, currently managed by Cenamps*, provides support to members and the Board.
* NOTE: The Cenamps office locations have changed and now include Wilton Centre, Gateshead International Business Centre, Newcastle University and NETPark. The Fabriam Centre office is closed. For further details visit www.uk-cpi.com.
