NIA UK - Introduction
The UK Nanotechnology Industries Association ltd (NIA ltd (UK)) was formed in 2005 by a group of companies that had identified the need of representation with a unified voice in the growing nanotechnology stakeholder debate. The member companies of the NIA ltd (UK) come from a variety of industry sectors, including healthcare, cosmetics, chemicals, materials-manufacture and -processing, and many more.
As a national industries association, the NIA ltd (UK) is an Associated Member of the international Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA aisbl), based in Brussels, Belgium. All members of the NIA ltd (UK) are automatically members of the NIA aisbl (international).
The NIA ltd (UK) and the NIA aisbl (international) share the same brand and mission, and follow a joint strategy, in order to the most efficient and consolidated support to the nanotechnology industries. Within this, the NIA ltd (UK) focuses on the nanotechnology industries based in the UK, with the objectives of increasing interactions and providing a strong, consolidated voice for its members.
